Alan Johnson | Campus Minister

Alan Johnson is from El Dorado, Arkansas. He’s a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and Asbury Theological Seminary. Alan and his family came to Wesley in the summer of 2007.  He is a self-described Grey Pilgrim who enjoys most anything that can be done while wearing Chacos. He is responsible for the overall direction of the ministry, but is mostly known for his out-of-date movie references. Alan and Shawna have been married 25 years and they have two grown children:  Emery (20) and Reid (18).

Kristi Gadwa | Director of Missions

Kristi Gadwa is from Hoquiam, Washington. She didn’t date any vampires in high school, but she did grow up loving the outdoors, playing sports, and spending time with her family. She graduated from Eastern Washington University and made the leap from Washington into Louisiana in 2011. She is deeply in love with the beach and Jesus, not necessarily in that order. She has been on many foreign mission trips over her many years, and she has continued that tradition at Wesley. She has led two trips to Nepal and she started the Feed Nepal program. When she’s not driving towards the ocean or flipping burgers in Bayou Park, Kristi can be found enjoying some garlic-parmesan wings and watching Patrick Swayze star in Point Break, again.
